Use a 5mm drill bit and carefully drill out the hole. Using a grommet (supplied in kit) gently place into the newly drilled hole. Using water based lubricant, lightly spray area with lubricant and insert a small joining barb. Then join the solar tube back onto the other end of the joining barb. If the broken barb cannot be removed from the tube
Step 4 – Apply the Patch. Make sure when you apply the repair patch to the paddling pool that you keep the area nice and flat. You want a really good connection between the paddling pool and the patch. Apply the patch and press firmly working from the hole towards the outside of the patch.
Very small holes in a safety cover may not be a concern. They usually don’t spread, due to the tight weave of the cover material, so holes under 1/2 in. in diameter may not be a concern. Small rips, up to 6 inches, can be repaired with our 4×8 inch Safety Cover Repair Patches. The woven design of the fabric causes most safety cover tears to Put your empty 5-gallon bucket in the water on the second step of your pool. Fill the bucket with water to match the pool’s water level. Use the marker or duct tape to mark this level inside the bucket. Turn Off the Pump. Turn off the recirculating pump as well as any other auto-refill device you may have.
Turn on the hose at full blast, then watch at the skimmer box for a big blob of debris to come out. For a clogged main drain line, turn off the pump, close down all valves and remove the drain cover from the bottom of the pool. Insert the Drain King nozzle directly at the pump and blast water through the main drain line.
Then, drop a bit of ink in the water around the suspected area, close to the sides of the pool. If there is a crack, the dye will be drawn towards it. Ensure the water is as still as possible before trying this method. You can use a dye test kit to identify the leak.
Dry off the pool float, or at least the area requiring the repair. Clean the area surrounding the hole with the wipes included in the repair kit, or with rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth. Deflate the float, then smooth it flat so the damaged area faces up and has at least an inch of material around it. Peel the backing off the repair patch, then
Place the new wall piece against the pool’s wall on the inside. You’ll have to move away the bottom cove in that area so the wall piece can fit right up against the existing wall from top to bottom. Line up the metal channels to the edge of the wall piece and drill holes all the way through.
FIX FROM A ROCK FROM MOWING THE LAWN OR SOMETHING SHARP WAS THROWN AT THE POOL AND MADE A HOLE. Step 1 – Make sure the liner wasn’t damaged as well – In many cases, a hole can be made in the wall of the pool, but not the liner. Check inside the pool where the hole is to see if there’s a hole in the liner.
It won’t be nearly as quick of a fix as the pencil solution, but here’s what you would do: Turn off the main water shutoff valve. Drain the pipe of all water and make sure it has dried. Rough the damaged area with emery cloth. Take a ball of plumber’s epoxy and push it into the pinhole.
If you have a suction side leak, this may be due to a cracked pump lid, cracked pipes or valves, low water level, or issues with the o-ring of the strainer basket drain plug or pump lid. Pressure side leaks may occur due to issues with the impeller, the housing o-ring or gasket, the discharge pipe, or the pump housing.
You can also use WaterWeld to plug any larger holes. Step 3: Allow WaterWeld to fully dry and cure, about an hour. WaterWeld will cure underwater. WaterWeld will cure to white, and will be waterproof upon curing. Step 4: If desired, WaterWeld can be sanded and then painted to match the color of the pool.
Assuming the crack is still reasonably small, fixing it is still a relatively simple process. First, pool repair specialists will use a grinder or drill to widen the crack before filling it. Next, the crack must be cleaned out properly. Pool plaster will then be used to fill the crack up. Spray the hole with silicone spray or PVC glue. You then take the connector or the barb, and plug it into one end of the hose, and then plug the other end to the other side. Once you connect the two ends, pull them tight so they don’t separate, ensuring there is no further leakage. If the leak or hole isn’t in the solar pool heating

The cuffs on both ends of my vacuum hose have split so I bought two new cuffs. One is a swivel cuff the other isn't. The problem is attaching them to the hose. I live in an area where all 6 of the pool supply stores are clueless. One told me to use a certain type of silicone glue which promptly dissolved the first time I tried to vacuum with it.

I was dumping the last of the water in the roses and hit a thorn in the top part of the pool. So a small hole in a section with air only. There are two other sections below it and they are fine. It is a common 2 small kids pool that has 3 brightly colored rings of air around the perimeter almost like thick balloons.
Locate the damaged section and then unfold the vinyl patch underwater. Center the patch over the damaged area and press the patch down from the center outward on all sides so you push the excess adhesive out through the edges of the patch. Don't let the patch move around as you smooth the edges. Leave the patch for 24 hours to allow enough time
How to Find A Hole in A Pool Liner. Determine if your pool liner is leaking. To do this, fill your pool to its normal level. Get a bucket and fill it with water. You may also want to weigh it down with some rocks so that it doesn't damage the liner if it gets knocked over. Put the bucket on your pool steps, with the top of the bucket sticking This is nothing more than a patch of vinyl material and some adhesive.
