Possible injector problem? – 09-09-2012, 03:50 PM. Its unlikely that 3 months on the wrong oil will have done any harm but you should change it. These pd engines must have the correct oil or the cams will be damaged and they connect to the injectors. Long term use of the wrong oil will lead to a big repair bill on a pd engine.
